Being a financial advisor is a natural fit because it encompassed two of my greatest passions: family and helping people. I see my greatest responsibility as an advisor is to help people and their family navigate through generations of difficult decisions, both financial and non-financial. My belief is a good advisor should be more of a life coach who is able to help you not only with basic financial questions, such as when to retire, but also difficult ones, such as what to do when you lose a spouse or parent.

For those that know me well, they know my family always comes first; and I believe in life balance. I believe it is possible to work hard and run a successful business and have my family still be my first priority. I take this approach into my work with clients. Many people struggle with work and quality of life balance. By using Harvest CFO, our planning tool, we are able to challenge people’s thought process and give them permission to follow their life passions, while understanding possible trade-offs to other goals.

In 2015, my passion for helping people expanded beyond wealth management when my wife, Jess, and I created our own non-profit in an effort to find a cure to Alzheimer’s. To learn more about our charity, please visit www.jogyourmemory5k.org.

I was born and raised in West Hartford, Connecticut. After graduating from Kingswood-Oxford, I went north to Vermont for four years where I learned a lot about life, loyalty, and friendship while studying at Middlebury College. I am a family man at heart and enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids: Colby, Caley, and Michael. Many years ago we fell in love with St. John in the US Virgin Islands and annually you will find us hiding there in the winter months. Come summertime, you can be sure to find us enjoying as much time as possible at our vacation home in East Dennis, Cape Cod. When I am not chasing after my kids, you can find me golfing, traveling, trying great foods, and coaching every sport imaginable.

Oliver Scholle

Financial Advisor, Partner

As an investment advisor and financial planner with Harvest Wealth Management in Needham, Massachusetts, I specialize in helping families facing the twin challenges of paying for their children’s education while saving for their own retirement.
These two areas of financial planning could not be more different, which is exactly why they are so important to tie together in an effective plan. For many families, college admission is an urgent and emotional issue combined with a potentially enormous expense right in the middle of their prime earning years. As a specialist in college funding, my planning can have an immediate impact to generate cost savings that can stay invested and grow for retirement.

Financial planning was not my first career. Following my graduation from Harvard College in 1976, I spent the next 20 years pursuing a career in international business in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In 2004, I left the corporate world to become an independent financial advisor to design my own financial services practice and focus on my clients' needs first and foremost. And based on my own experience paying for college for my three children, I was immediately attracted to the opportunity to help families as an educational consultant and college funding specialist.

My clients come to me because of my reputation in college funding, but I play a critical role in helping them address the longer-term challenge of planning for retirement. With more than 30 years of experience working in the financial services industry (including banking, life insurance, portfolio management, and pension fund management), I feel I have a unique perspective on all aspects of building an effective retirement plan and the strategies and products that can help individuals, families, and their small businesses achieve long-term success.
On the personal side, I am a 20-year resident of Brookline, Massachusetts where my wife, Beth, and I have deep roots in the community through service on the boards of local colleges, cultural organizations and close connections with local schools. We have raised our two sons and daughter in the town before they attended Bates College in Lewiston, Maine (son and daughter) and Harvard. Since graduation, the two boys attended officer candidate school with the Navy and are now serving in California. Their sister will graduate this spring with a degree in politics and an interest in international relations. When I am not working, Beth and I enjoy traveling to visit our children and spend time sailing, golfing, hiking, and camping.

Liz Mara

Client Care Associate

I was born in Stamford, Connecticut, but consider myself a “Tarheel” at heart. I lived in multiple states as a youth before my family settled in North Carolina for my high school years. I spent four amazing years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a student/athlete, competing all over the country as a Division I swimmer. I’ve been in too many pools to count and won far fewer Olympic medals than Michael Phelps. A little known fact about me is that I was part of a relay team that swam the Hudson River from Tarrytown to the southern tip of Manhattan, a total of 26 miles.

Following college, I spent six months living and skiing in Park City, Utah, before joining Goldman Sachs in New York City as an institutional sales trader. I met my husband, a die-hard Bostonian, in NYC and relocated to New England as part of Goldman Sachs' Private Wealth Management Division so we could start our life together.

In the following years, we welcomed three beautiful girls to our family, and I took on the challenge of full-time mom. Our girls are now 11, 9, and 9, and I enjoy watching them compete in a ridiculous number of hockey and soccer games. In my free time, albeit scarce at this stage of life, I also enjoy hiking with our German shepherd, Bella, and reading, not at the same time of course.

Now you know a little about me. I look forward to learning more about you!
